Lawn Care
If you’re in the lawn care business, we have something in common. No, we’re not landscaping or cutting grass. But we do share something in common: we have a lot of competition and need to set ourselves apart from the pack.
What sets you apart from your competition? Consider these suggestions:
- Uniformed crews are more highly respected. This is especially true in higher-income neighborhoods.
- Clean trucks and clean people capture attention. Make sure your brand image carries through consistently in these important areas. Develop a personal care policy for your staff so they represent you well. Show your logo on your vehicles and display in prominently on the clothes your workers wear.
- Have uniform options for changing weather conditions. Consider a sweatshirt or windshirt for cool fall days, a rain jacket for spring clean-up, and perhaps a sleeveless shirt for those hot July and August days. And remember shorts and pants are a key part of that professional look. Order the same style for all of your workers.
- Depart from the traditional “landscape” colors. Introduce something different to create interest in your brand. Consider purple, orange, or yellow in place of green.
- A printed t-shirt is a low cost way to bring consistency to your uniform. You may also want to consider a collared short-sleeve work shirt with coordinating shorts for a more professional look.
- Think safety. Consider safety vests with reflective characteristics for those workers near moving traffic and other areas where high visibility is needed.
- Don’t stop with apparel. Remind your customers about your value proposition by using promotional items or gifts. Perhaps a magnet with your contact information or a calendar with seasonal tips is in order. Or maybe it’s a small yard-sign showing neighbors that the great work they see was completed by you. There are thousands of items available to help tell your message – let us help you find the perfect one for you!

Key aspects of your lawn care uniform:
- Matching shirts showing your logo. Consider a full-size printed logo on the back of the shirt so it can be seen from a distance.
- Work shorts or pants to bring a consistent look across your crew.
- Caps or hats with your embroidered logo to protect workers’ faces from the harsh effects of the sun and cold.
- Warm weather gear such as sweatshirts or duck cloth jackets for cold weather.
- High-visibility safety gear.
